Course for Professional Voice Teachers and Users

THE WORKSHOP WILL:

Provide practical tools for upskilling singers, singing teachers, musical directors and choral conductors, and also speech and language therapists working with singers or actors.

Remove the mystique surrounding how sound is actually produced.

Vocal Health – Help explain how an understanding of the anatomy informs and changes technique, which in turn provides healthier methods of singing.

Demonstrate the artistic capabilities and freedom that result from a singer knowing how to ‘work’ their vocal instrument safely.

Draw on the best from a range of techniques and methods rather than promote one ‘model’ for singing.

Provide opportunities for teachers and singers to present case studies, scenarios or issues they have encountered and find new approaches to solving vocal problems.

Enable practitioners of different levels of ability and experience to engage, learn and share in a relaxed, fun and yet highly motivated atmosphere.

“This was a highly enjoyable and valuable course for singers and singing teachers alike. Paul Farrington is a highly experienced coach of professional singers and young artists and his course delivers detailed information on the physiology and acoustics of healthy vocal production with Q&A intervals for any burning questions. Paul also generously shares many exercises which he has developed both to address specific vocal challenges and to keep singers on top form. ”
